I love this picture.
We played in the park the day it was taken. My Granddaughter was about fifty yards away from me. I knelt to see if she would come to me.
This picture is so precious to me because as I knelt there, I watched her and thought about how God must see his helpless children.
He put us in this domain and gave us the freedom to choose.
This child had the freedom to do whatever she wanted to do. She roamed around for a while. She had no real direction until she saw me.
She ran to me, so excited to know I was watching her! As she ran to me, so excited, laughing all the way, falling two or three times before she finally made it, My heart melted when she finally made it... she spun around and fell backward into my arms.
I hope she always trusts me as much as she did at that moment. Whenever I reflect on this still frame, I think about how God used her to speak His truth to me.
We are all God’s helpless children being watched by our Heavenly Father. Matt.19:14
All He wants is for us to come to him.
14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
